Kaposi's sarcoma in an Ankylosing Spondylitis patient treated with Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (Anti-TNF-α) Therapy

Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitors are immunosuppressive agents used in a variety of inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), spondyloarthritis, psoriasis, and bowel disease (IBD). Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS) is an angioproliferative associated with the human herpes virus 8 (HHV-8). We present 46-year-old male patient ankylosing spondylitis (AS) treated TNF-α inhibitor developed KS during follow-up. The coexistence anti-TNF-α treatment rare condition. This case presented to address this association. Therefore, keeping mind KS, which type skin tumor, such HIV-negative patients whom initiated, essential terms early diagnosis, treatment, prevention complications.
